Why the sudden need to wear these two winter items already? Because the weather has been strangely cold lately! This last week of September has brought on temperatures that we aren't used to seeing until mid-November. And even better, these low temperatures have been accompanied by rain and wind.
Since there were only about four days this summer where temperatures exceeded 90 degrees, many Ohio natives expected to have a warm fall season. But instead we have been subject to temperatures near 50 degrees when the normal temperature this time of year is 67 degrees.
So what do Mount Union students think of the sudden urge to wear North Face and Uggs? Most think it's appropriate due to the awful weather.
"For as cold as it has been lately, I think it is definitely okay to be wearing winter items," said sophomore Taylor Harrison.
While some students only sport their winter wear when the temperatures drop, other students wear their comfy attire whenever they please!
"I wear my Uggs even in the summer. If I think they look cute with something, I'm going to wear them, regardless of the weather," added sophomore Kamiren Viesz.
